Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice explains how Funnel Duo Media Sdn Bhd (1320543-M) (“linklio”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit linkl.io, join the waitlist or use the linklio service. We handle personal data in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia (“PDPA”) and, where it applies to you, other data protection laws such as the GDPR.
1. What we collect
- Waitlist and account details: the username you ask for, your email address, and, once accounts open, your name, password (stored hashed) and profile details.
- Profile content: the links, text, images and other material you add to your linklio.
- Usage data: when your profile or links are viewed we record the time, the link clicked, the referring site, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type. This powers your analytics and helps us keep the Service secure.
- Payment data: if you buy a paid plan or sell through linklio, our payment processor handles your card details. We receive only a token, the last four digits and the transaction status.
- Support messages: what you send us when you contact support.
2. How we use it
We use personal data to provide and improve the Service, to reserve your username and tell you when linklio launches, to show you analytics about your own profile, to process payments, to prevent abuse and fraud, to respond to support requests, and to send service messages. With your consent we may send product news; you can opt out from any email.
3. Legal basis
We process your data because it is necessary to provide the Service you asked for, because you have consented (waitlist emails, marketing), because we have a legitimate interest in securing and improving the Service, or because the law requires it.
4. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run linklio (hosting on Vercel and Supabase, email delivery, payment processing, analytics), each bound by contracts that limit what they can do with it; with authorities where the law requires; and with a successor if our business is transferred. Profile pages are public by design: anything you put on your linklio can be seen by anyone with the link.
5. International transfers
Our servers are in Singapore and our providers may process data in other countries. Where data leaves Malaysia we take steps to make sure it stays protected to a standard consistent with the PDPA.
6. Retention
Waitlist entries are kept until you create an account or until 12 months after launch, whichever is sooner, unless you ask us to delete them earlier. Account data is kept while your account is active and for up to 90 days after closure, except where we need to keep records for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons. Aggregated analytics that cannot identify you may be kept longer.
7. Your rights
Under the PDPA you can ask to access or correct your personal data, withdraw consent, and limit how we process it. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to delete your data, receive a copy of it, or object to certain processing. Email support@funnelduo.com and we will respond within 21 days. You can also complain to the Personal Data Protection Department of Malaysia.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us straight away if you suspect your account has been accessed without permission.
9. Children
linklio is not for children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this Notice. We will post the new version here and, for material changes, email you or show a notice in the Service.
